What is Solar Fire X?

Solar Fire X is Astrolabe's tenth-edition professional astrology program — chart calculation, forecasting, mapping, research and report production in one desktop toolkit for Windows and Mac. Public release availability is pending publisher confirmation.

Which computers does it run on?

Windows 11, 10, 8 or 7 on Intel-compatible PCs (Windows 8 RT and 10 S excluded), and Macs running macOS Sequoia 15.x or Sonoma 14.7.x. Full details are on the system requirements page.

How accurate are the calculations?

Solar Fire calculates with the Swiss Ephemeris — planetary positions accurate to fractions of an arc-second — and uses the ACS Atlas for place, timezone and daylight-saving history.

Can I move my charts from an older Solar Fire?

Yes. Solar Fire imports chart files from Solar Fire versions 1 through 9, plus Solar Maps and other Solar-family formats, and can exchange charts with AstroGold on Apple devices by email.

Is Solar Maps included, or separate?

Solar Maps is included inside Solar Fire X — astro-locality maps, relocation, local-space lines and eclipse paths launch straight from the chart you're viewing.

Does it support my tradition — Vedic, traditional, Uranian?

Solar Fire offers tropical and sidereal zodiacs with custom ayanamsas, Vedic-style charts and Ashtakoot compatibility, traditional rulerships, dignities, Arabic parts and primary directions, and a dedicated Symmetry workflow with dials and midpoints for Uranian and cosmobiology practice.

How much does Solar Fire X cost?

Yes — every supplied interpretation can be edited or extended with your own text, and reports can be sent to your word processor for final layout.

What chart data comes with the program?

Solar Fire ships with over 2,000 example charts — the Clifford Data Compendium, the Australian Data Collection and the Scholfield collection — all rated with the Rodden accuracy system.
